What is collected, and why.

Effective July 5, 2026. Plain language; the short version is that Oustre keeps what an order needs and nothing it doesn’t.

What is collected

Orders: Name, email, shipping address, and the pieces reserved: the information a commission needs to reach you.
Payment: Handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never touch Oustre’s servers; Oustre sees only that a payment succeeded.
Letters from the bench: Your email address, if you subscribe. Used for the newsletter and nothing else; unsubscribe any time.
Analytics: How the site is used: pages viewed, pieces opened, where a checkout is abandoned. Collected in aggregate to make the site better.

Cookies & consent

Advertising cookies are off by default. Measurement tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) run to understand how the site is used; ad-platform pixels (Meta, TikTok) store nothing for advertising until consent is given. Vercel’s performance analytics are cookieless.

Who processes it

Oustre never sells personal data. It is shared only with the services that run the site: Stripe (payments and email records), Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics), Microsoft (session analytics), and, where consent is given, Meta and TikTok (ads measurement). Each processes data under its own privacy terms, on Oustre’s instructions.

Retention

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics are kept in aggregate, not tied to a name.

Your rights

You can ask what data Oustre holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted; write to oustre01@gmail.com from the address in question. Requests are answered within 30 days. California residents hold these rights under the CCPA; nothing here limits rights you hold elsewhere.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes are announced to newsletter subscribers before they take effect.
